Diane Brotherton is Vice President and Executive Human Resources Business Partner for New York Life’s Strategic Businesses and Head of Human Resources for New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM). She serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, driving talent strategy in support of business growth and organizational performance.

Diane partners with executives across talent development, succession planning, organizational design, talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, and leadership coaching. She is a member of NYLIM’s Management Committee and leads a team of HR Business Partners supporting more than 5,000 employees across the U.S. and internationally.

With over 20 years at New York Life, Diane has held HR leadership roles of increasing scope, including Executive HR Business Partner for the Foundational Business and Senior HR Business Partner for Technology during its enterprise-wide transformation.

Prior to joining New York Life, Diane served as National Client Manager at Spherion, where she led strategic workforce partnerships for New York Life Insurance, Bear Stearns Inc., and UBS.

Diane holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The Ohio State University.
