CHICAGO, December 2, 2008 – Madison Capital Funding LLC ("Madison Capital") announced that it has closed four leveraged finance transactions during the challenging market environment of October and November. Focused on the financing needs of middle market private equity sponsors, Madison Capital is an affiliate of New York Life Investment Management LLC, a subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company.

During this tumultuous period Madison Capital closed leveraged transactions with Imperial Capital, PNC Equity Partners, Sterling Investment Partners and Tailwind Capital, respectively, in the role as Lead Arranger and Administrative Agent and Syndication Agent for FCX Performance.

Madison Capital completed four financing transactions across various industries. The four deals were:

• Archway Marketing Services, acquired by Tailwind Capital in November 2008, is the industry leading provider of end-to-end logistics management solutions for marketing collateral, including warehousing, procurement, IT and fulfillment services, and distribution.

• A Laundry Services Company, recapitalized by Management and PNC Equity Partners in October 2008, is a leading provider and operator of laundry rooms for colleges, apartments, and condominiums.

• Schulman Associates, facility provided for growth investment by Imperial Capital in October 2008, is a leading Independent Institutional Review Board ("IRB"), focused on reviewing research protocols and consent documents to protect human subjects participating in clinical research studies.

• FCX Performance, acquired by Sterling Investment Partners in October 2008, is a leading U.S. specialty flow control distributor and solutions provider serving the industrial valve and automation, and process instrumentation markets.
