WESTWOOD, Mass., November 5, 2007 – New York Life Retirement Plan Services, a division of New York Life Investment Management LLC (NYLIM), with offices in Westwood, Massachusetts and Parsippany, New Jersey, announced that it has been chosen by The Plumbers and Gasfitters Local 12 union to administer its $92 million defined contribution plan.  

            UA Plumbers and Gasfitters Local 12, which includes journeymen and apprentices of the plumbing and pipe fitting industry in the US and Canada, has 1,600 members in the Greater Boston area.   The plan converted to New York Life Retirement Plan Services in September.

            According to Local 12 Fund Administrator Roger Gill, New York Life Retirement Plan Services was chosen for its experience with Taft-Hartley funds, its proximity to Boston and its investment flexibility.  “The folks at New York Life really showed that they understand the unique needs of building trade unions and understand our plan.  We feel very comfortable that our defined contribution plan will be in the best hands,” he said.
