PARSIPPANY, N.J., January 16, 2004 - New York Life Investment Management LLC (NYLIM) Retirement Plan Services announced that it has again achieved top honors in two well-respected retirement industry surveys, the PLANSPONSOR Magazine 2003 DC Survey and the Boston Research Group DCP 2003 Survey.

This year, NYLIM Retirement Plan Services won “Best In Class” honors in 17 categories, according to PLAN SPONSOR’s 2003 DC Survey.  In the mid-market category (plans from $50 million to $199 million in assets under management), NYLIM Retirement Plan Services received best in class ratings in 16 of the 18 categories.  These rankings made NYLIM the best performer in this market category, according to the survey.  In the small plan category (plans from $5 million to $49 million), NYLIM also received recognition for its client service, finishing with the second highest best in class ratings.

According to another important industry survey, the Boston Research Group DCP 2003 Survey, NYLIM Retirement Plan Services received top rankings in 5 key categories: client satisfaction with NYLIM’s recordkeeping, relationship managers, ERISA services, plan sponsor website and participant website. In addition, NYLIM Retirement Plan Services received a Top 3 ranking in 9 out of 13 possible categories.   In this survey, 100 percent of NYLIM Retirement Plan Services’ clients reported they are loyal to their retirement plan provider, with 87 percent saying they are “highly loyal.”
