NORWOOD, Mass. – NYLIM Retirement Plan Services, a division of New York Life Investment Management LLC (NYLIM), today introduced “Listen and Learn,” a comprehensive new retirement education and communications program.  Listen and Learn features tools, publications, and resources to help employees better plan for retirement.

Building on NYLIM Retirement Plan Services’ consulting heritage, Listen and Learn provides a custom-designed program to address each retirement plan sponsor’s specific needs, based on extensive input from both sponsors and participants.

Listen and Learn is highly personalized, with participants receiving educational materials pertaining to their specific life stage, based on age ranges 21-35, 36-50, and over 50. A generic version is also available for clients distributing their own educational kits.

Plan sponsors can choose three different retirement themes for their enrollment kit: “Planning Life’s Longest Vacation,” which features aspirational messages regarding life in retirement; “Live the Dream,” using a bold theme for companies with a more contemporary culture; and “Q & A,” a simple question and answer approach to saving and investing for retirement.

The Listen and Learn program also offers features that aid in both the plan conversion process, and in integrating the retirement program into a sponsor’s suite of employee benefits.  Also, NYLIM Retirement Plan Services will now offer a video series to clients called “The Better Investing Video Series,” a 10-part series airing on public television this fall that focuses on such topics as saving for children’s education and common investment mistakes.

Listen and Learn will be rolled out to all of NYLIM Retirement Plan Services’ clients this fall.
