The Wholesale business involves the management of portfolios where a third party gathers the assets.  This includes the general account and variable products for New York Life Insurance Company, as well as accounts for other financial institutions . 

• The majority of these activities are conducted by the Fixed Income Investors Group , which currently manages approximately $64 billion of fixed-income and equity portfolios, and NYLIM Real Estate, which manages $11 billion of commercial mortgage loans, real estate equities and other real estate-related assets. 
• Madison Capital Funding LLC presents another avenue for gathering assets by providing private debt funding to companies in mid-market businesses.
