PARSIPPANY, N.J., April 20, 2004 – New York Life Investment Management LLC (NYLIM) today announced the appointments of Nancy Lavin, Cheryl Potter, Frances Rogell and Matthew Silver as Regional Vice Presidents of NYLIM Retail Sales. 

In their new positions, these professionals will promote the sales of NYLIM’s retail investments through intermediaries including national, full service brokerage firms, regional firms and independent broker-dealers.  NYLIM’s retail investments include the MainStay Funds, NYLIM Separately Managed Accounts, and the CollegeSense 529 College Savings Plan.

The four professionals will target key regions where the growth opportunities for NYLIM’s Retail Investments are great.

Nancy Lavin will focus on the Connecticut, Rhode Island and Upstate New York Regions and will call on national brokerage firms, regional brokerage firms and independent broker-dealers.  She comes to NYLIM from Touchstone Investments where she was a Regional Vice President of Sales.

Cheryl Potter will cover NYLIM’s Eastern Florida Region, working with both national and regional brokerage firms.  Most recently, Ms. Potter worked for Putnam Investments as a Regional Marketing Director. 

Frances Rogell will be responsible for the North and Western Florida Regions.  Ms. Rogell joins NYLIM from Eaton Vance, where she was a Wealth Management Specialist, Vice President for the Brokerage Sales Team. 

Matthew Silver, a native of Long Island, New York joins NYLIM from BlackRock.  Matt joined BlackRock in 1998 and served as a Regional Vice President.  Matt will be in charge of sales and marketing to the wirehouse channel in Long Island, Queens and Brooklyn for NYLIM.
