Richard A. Rosen, CFA
Senior Managing Director, MacKay Shields LLC
Head of Value Equity Division
Mr. Rosen joined MacKay Shields in January 1999 as Director in the Equity Division with Portfolio Management and Research responsibilities. He was promoted to Managing Director in 2000. Mr. Rosen was previously with Prudential Investments where he was a Managing Director, responsible for managing value equity portfolios. Prior to that, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager and Vice President with Marine Midland Bank, a Municipal Securities Officer at Summit Bancorporation, and an Account Executive at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc. in New York. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, with 17 years of investment management and research experience. Mr. Rosen received a B.A. in Political Science from Drew University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Boston University Graduate School of Management.
Mark T. Spellman

Portfolio Manager/Research Analyst
Mr. Spellman joined MacKay Shields in 1996 from Deutsche Morgan Grenfell/C.J. Lawrence where he was responsible for investment research and portfolio strategy. He was previously with Prudential Equity Management Associates where he was involved in security research, risk analysis, and portfolio management. Mr. Spellman has 14 years investment management and research experience. He graduated from Boston College with a B.S. in Computer Science and Finance, and is a candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Michael S. Michalisin, CFA

Portfolio Manager/Research Analyst
Mr. Michalisin joined MacKay Shields in 2000 from Deutsche Banc Alex Brown where he was an Equity Research Analyst and Vice President. He was previously with Hancock Institutional Equity Services/Tucker Anthony, Inc. where he was also a research analyst. Prior to that, Mr. Michalisin was with Hewlett-Packard Company and The Boston Company Advisors, Inc. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst with 11 years investment management and research experience. Mr. Michalisin holds a B.S. from Boston College and an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland.
Won Choi

Research Analyst
Mr. Choi joined MacKay Shields in 2002 from Fenway Partners, Inc. where he was most recently a Private Equity Associate. Previously, he was a Financial Analyst in the Financial Entrepreneurs Group at Salomon Smith Barney. Mr. Choi received a B.A. in Economics from Yale University and has been in the investment management industry since 1997.
