Edward Silverstein, CFA

Research Analyst
Mr. Silverstein joined MacKay Shields in 1998 as an Associate Research Analyst in the Equity Division, and was promoted to Associate Director in 2000. Prior to joining MacKay Shields, he was a Portfolio Manager for three years at The Bank of New York, after having served two years as a law clerk. In addition, Mr. Silverstein was an intern at the New York Stock Exchange Enforcement Division and was a self-employed equity options trader for one year. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the New York State Bar, with six years experience in the investment management and research industry. Mr. Silverstein has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Vermont, an M.B.A. from the Baruch College, and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
R. Eric Pettway, CFA

Research Analyst
Mr. Pettway joined MacKay Shields in 2001 from our parent company, New York Life Investment Management, where he was a Vice President in the Equity Department. Prior to joining MacKay Shields, Mr. Pettway held positions as a Research Analyst Intern with Conseco Capital Management, and as a Senior Consultant at Price Waterhouse LLC, Management Consulting Services. Mr. Pettway became a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2001, and has been in the investment management industry since 1997. Mr. Pettway earned a B.S. in Computer Information Systems and an M.B.A. in Finance from Indiana University.
Kelsey Dreher, CFA

Research Analyst
Ms. Dreher joined MacKay Shields in 2002 as an Analyst and was promoted to Associate in 2004. She joined the Convertible group as a Research Analyst in 2005. Prior to joining MacKay Shields, Ms. Dreher was an Analyst at Morgan Stanley. She earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2006 and received her BA in Mathematics from the College of the Holy Cross. Her career in the investment management industry began in 2000. |
