WESTWOOD, MA, October 30, 2006 – The retirement plan services division of New York Life Investment Management LLC (NYLIM), announced today that Don Salama, 46, has been promoted to oversee all of NYLIM Retirement Plan Services.  He will maintain the title senior managing director.

Until this promotion, Salama was a senior managing director of sales, marketing and product development at the retirement plan provider.  Salama replaces and continues reporting to Barry Schub, executive vice president of NYLIM Retirement Plan Services.  Schub in turn has assumed additional responsibility at NYLIM. 

“Don has made many notable sales and marketing contributions to Retirement Plan Services and to the corporation as a whole,” said Schub.  “This promotion and additional responsibility are in recognition of Don’s many successes and we are very pleased that he will be leading this group forward.”

Reporting to Salama will be: Tom Clough senior managing director responsible for the NYLIM Retirement Plan Services’ mid- and large-market business; Joe Henehan, managing director and chief financial officer for the division; Sam Mancino, managing director of the retirement plan provider’s small plan business; Jeff Keller, managing director of sales strategy and marketing; Mark Strazzeri, managing director of advisor and consultant sales;

John Santaguida, director of Taft-Hartley sales; and Steven Dorval, director and head of investment services. 

Salama has held numerous positions in the retirement plan industry over the last 20 years, including general management of Retirement Plan Solutions at Hartford Financial Services, managing institutional sales and marketing for the Vanguard Group, and holding other senior positions in sales, marketing, and operations at various firms.  Don earned a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and his MBA from Cornell University.
